As a social worker and teacher, Emily is deeply committed to serving as a voice for the children, families, and individuals who live in this beautiful place. As a Council Member, Emily will work to enhance public services, support local businesses, and preserve the village's unique charm while addressing modern challenges. Emily prioritizes listening and responding to residents' needs and promises to be a proactive and approachable leader for Flat Rock.

Emily grew up in Western North Carolina and lives in Flat Rock with her partner and their 2-year-old dog, rescued from the Blue Ridge Humane Society. Emily has a Master of Social Work from Western Carolina University and has spent her career helping people and communities come together to overcome challenges. Emily loves living in this vibrant, close-knit community and believes that its unique charm is worth preserving and enhancing.
